National Hunger Awareness Day/Dedication of the Mary Barden Keegan Hunger Relief Center.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2006 End Hunger Network commemorated the 6th annual National Hunger Awareness Day with the dedication of the Mary Barden Keegan Hunger Releif Center.

Building to End Hunger Groundbreaking

On Tuesday, November 10, 2005, friends of End Hunger Network gathered at 2445 North Freeway to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new hunger-relief facility, which will revolutionize hunger-relief efforts in Houston and throughout the entire nation.

The festive event, which was emceed by KHOU anchor Lisa Foronda, featured an impressive array of guest speakers, including Mayor Bill White, Terry Palmer of Open Door Mission, and End Hunger Network’s own board director Bill Boyar and executive director David Davenport.

Also on hand to provide entertainment was the Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir.

End Hunger Network is thrilled to announce that the new facility, which is expected to provide an amazing 1.7 million meals in its first year alone, will begin feeding Houston’s hungry
in April 2006.
